
Phiên đấu giá ngày 27 tháng 11 năm 2016 vừa qua của nhà Christie’s lại tiếp tục gây sóng trên thị trường tranh Việt. Ngoài việc những bức tranh tốt của các hoạ sĩ Việt Nam thời kỳ Đông Dương liên tiếp đạt những mốc giá mới, thì cũng có không ít những bức tranh nhái được nhà đấu giá này đăng bán tại cùng phiên.
Bức tranh Việt được trả giá cao nhất tại phiên đấu giá này là bức Cô gái trẻ bên những trái na của hoạ sĩ Lê Phổ. Bức tranh được mua với giá 567 ngàn đô la Mỹ.

Trong phiên đấu giá này có một số bức tranh GIẢ được bán với giá rất cao, điển hình là bức Cô gái Huế, từng được hoạ sĩ Mai Trung Thứ vẽ vào những năm 30, tuy nhiên bức đăng bán tại nhà Christie’s lại là một bức chép lại chưa hoàn chỉnh so với bức tranh gốc, mặc dù vậy nó cũng được mua với giá 194 ngàn USD.
Một bức tranh sơn mài kém chất lượng khác cũng được nhà đấu giá đăng bán và là ghi là tranh do hoạ sĩ Nguyên Gia Trí thực hiện. Bức này được mua với giá rất cao, khoảng 209 ngàn USD, đánh dấu một kỷ lục về giá cho một bức tranh GIẢ trên thị trường :).
Ngoài ra còn phải kể đến một bức tranh nhái khác, ký tên Nguyễn Nam Sơn. Bức tranh này được xác định là chép lại từ một tranh do hiệu trưởng trường MTDD Victor Tardieu thực hiện. Bức tranh khi đăng bán lần đầu tiên tại Châu Âu đã được gia đình hoạ sĩ Nam Sơn xác định là tranh giả, tuy nhiên tranh vẫn được những nhà buôn mua và bán lại trên sàn Christie’s Hồng Kong vào hôm 27/11 vừa qua với giá 64 ngàn USD.
